Note: Key plot points for the latest installment of the new season are included.
The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced
The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the premier party of heroes who will separate from the central cast to begin their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.
This warrior group includes Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the start that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.
Hence, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing started the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, striking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.
The traitor then cleared his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, beyond the city, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each character has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
- Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a hostile environment.
- The strong character and The cleric, having disobeyed his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their status as important members in House Halovar could help the party reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
- The strong figure and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- Teor is marked for death by the family.
This means them few options but to journey toward Timmony in quest for the traitor.
